Apart from the H1N1 cases, there have been 95 cases of malaria, 201 cases of gastroenteritis infections, two cases of leptospirosis and a dengue infection in one week alone. This year, 353 cases of H1N1 infection have been reported by the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and 68 of those were outstation patients. H1N1 or swine flu has already claimed three lives in Mumbai; among them is a pregnant woman from Dharavi, a man from Mankhurd and a girl from Malvani. • Wear swine flu masks. Three more swine flu deaths in Mumbai as death toll surges

Three people have died due to swine flu in Mumbai, with the death toll surging to 10 in 2017, Indian authorities said. So far, 285 people have contracted swine flu in India's financial capital this year. But the death toll has crossed that figure this June alone. The scourge of swine flu had lessened last year, with three deaths reported. The deaths come amid 92 people contracting the potentially-deathly virus in Mumbai between June 16 and June 22 alone, ANI reported.

Five more people in Mumbai died of swine flu last week, taking the total number of deaths this year to 16. A seven-month pregnant woman was declared dead on June 13, while being treated for swine flu. A 35-year-old woman from Malvani died of swine flu on June 18.
