Elton John is recovering well after suffering 'rare and potentially deadly' infection

Elton John is on the path to recovery after the legendary singer was hospitalised for a "rare and potentially deadly" infection. He's actually allowing himself to rest and recuperate and acknowledges that it is important to properly get over this distressing time," a spokesperson for Elton said. Elton cancelled his next month's live performances following the medical scare, but his agent has said the singer will be well enough to perform in London in June. The "I'm Still Standing" hitmaker is currently spending some family time with husband David Furnish and their two children Zachary, six, and Elijah, four. The 70-year-old veteran musician spent two days in intensive care two weeks ago after he fell "violently ill" on board his flight from Santiago, Chile, to London due to the bacterial infection, reported Femalefirst.
