DOCTOR'S CORNER with Dr JOSEPH KABUNGOTHE latest outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) has been reported in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). For sports events like football, which involves a lot of travelling, this fresh Ebola outbreak has to be taken seriously. Countries like Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia suspended football activities during the Ebola outbreak three years ago. The incubation period for the Ebola virus ranges from two to 21 days. FIFA used eleven football personalities such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and Samuel Et'oo among many to help fight Ebola in West Africa.
