Alton man suspected of purposely transmitting HIV virus during beating
If convicted of aggravated battery, Hill could be sentenced to between two and five years in prison. Roxana police obtained a search warrant to get a sample of Hill's blood after Hill was arrested on the aggravated battery charge. The aggravated battery charge filed Feb. 24 claims the blows inflicted by Hill caused facial fractures, lacerations and a concussion. ROXANA — Police have obtained a blood sample from an Alton man suspected of purposely transmitting the virus that causes AIDS to a victim, whom he also allegedly beat. Bail on the aggravated battery charge was originally set at $75,000.

When interviewed a second time on Monday, the woman realized she had actually had unprotected sex four times with Spoor. She told the officer she had met Spoor on Match.com and that he had claimed his name was Ray Hildeman.
