Mosquitoes trapped in Norfolk positive for West Nile Virus
NORFOLK -- Mosquitoes recently trapped in Norfolk have tested positive for West Nile Virus, town and state health officials announced late Tuesday."They were collected in the northern quadrant" of the town, health board administrative assistant Betsy Fijol said.Last year, 4,527 mosquito samples from around the state were tested for the virus and 164 samples returned positive results, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH).
