GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Meijer Inc. announced it will donate five dollars to Simply Give, its hunger relief program, for the first 200,000 flu shots it administers at its 230 pharmacies this fall.The retail chain said it will donate up to $1 million to Simply Give, a Meijer-sponsored program that stocks the shelves of food pantries in the Midwest, the company announced Wednesday, Aug. 24."We are excited to help our customers fight the flu this season while also fighting hunger by participating in our Simply Give program," said Tim Lesneski, Meijer's senior vice president of Drug Store, Pets & Consumables.
