WSFA : declared in Highly-contagious dog flu spreads to 8 states

Billy Jo Durkee had never heard of the dog flu until her mom's dog died two years ago. Dr. Gamper says there is no evidence the dog flu can infect humans. "That's why I get him the flu vaccine every chance it needs to be done," Durkee said. The University of Florida Veterinarian Medicine says reports have been confirmed in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, IIlinois and Texas. You don't think of dogs getting the flu but the virus is real and so is the potential death the sickness can bring.
