MADRID (AP) — Spain defender Dani Carvajal has missed a national team training session because of the flu. Reserve goalkeeper Pepe Reina had missed a practice session on Tuesday because of an undisclosed ailment. The Spanish soccer federation says he did not practice Wednesday as a "precaution" ahead of the team's World Cup qualifier against Israel on Friday. Spain plays a friendly against France in Saint-Denis four days after the home match against Israel in Gijon. Spain and Italy lead Group G with 10 points each after four matches.


Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci is suffering from Flu and has missed a training session three days before the World Cup qualifier against Albania. Flu forced Leonardo Bonucci to miss training. Italy, level on points with Spain at the top of Group G, play Albania in Palermo on Friday. Italy are already without Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini, who is recovering from injury. Juventus centre-back Bonucci was absent from Tuesday's morning session.
