MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) --- Southern Wisconsin is hitting the height of flu season. At the peak of the season, about half the people who will get the flu this year have yet to fall ill, according to Dr. Jon Temte, a physician at the Department of Family Medicine at UW-Madison. This year, Temte says 20 children have been reported of dying from the flu, and most of them have not gotten the shot. Children are the leading cause of spreading the flu according to Temte, who is worried that not enough children are getting the vaccine this year. Dr. Temte encourages people to stay home if feeling sick.
