Tribune News ServiceMohali, November 15The recovery of three peacock carcasses near fields at Ramgarh Daun village has put Forest Department officials on alert here. The reason behind the officials' anxiety is stated to be the suspected death of the birds, two peahens and a peacock, due to avian influenza or bird flu.Taking no chances, the officials, who reached the spot and seized the carcasses, sent samples to the Regional Detection Centre, a government laboratory, at Jalandhar for forensic examination.
