PLEASANTON (KRON) — A local Bay Area parish and Safeway are pairing up to provide free influenza shots to homeless people in a Bay Area town, Sunday morning.Our Lady's Refuge Parish on Lucretia Avenue in San Jose along with Safeway are hosting an event Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m, in an effort to help the homeless community during this flu season.According to the Centers for Disease Control, influenza affects up to 20 percent of the U.S population each year.
