An outbreak of canine infectious respiratory disease among dogs in Central Oregon is slowing down, and veterinarians have a couple of theories as to what may have caused it.The highly contagious outbreak began about two months ago and has likely spread anywhere dogs meet, from dog parks, kennels and dog shows to veterinary clinics, behavior classes and backyards.The infections are often referred to as kennel cough, which has become somewhat of a catchall term for upper respiratory infections in dogs.
