Aug 28, 2016- As many as 26 HIV cases have been diagnosed in Siraha in the running fiscal year 2016/17.District Public Health Office (DPHO) had run examinations in VCT centres at Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital and Siraha District Hospital in which 26 persons tested positive for HIV.Twenty persons tested positive at Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital and the other six persons were tested positive at the District Hospital, said Saroj Karna of DPHO's HIV/Aids Coordination Committee.

Siraha detects 26 new HIV cases August 27, 2016 15:57 PM , RepublicaLAHAN, Aug 27: As many as 26 new cases of Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) were detected in Siraha in the ongoing fiscal year 2016/17 after recording 12 deaths in the preceding fiscal year.District Public Health Office (DPHO) Siraha ran examinations in VCT centres at Lahan-based Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital and Siraha District Hospital to find 26 new cases of the fatal virus.A total of 20 persons tested positive for the HIV in Lahan Hospital and six in Siraha Hospital, DPHO Siraha HIV AIDS Coordination Committee's Saroj Karna said.
