Canfield Fair removing hogs after events to prevent swine fluCANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Canfield Fair says it will remove all hogs from the fairgrounds at the closing of the fair on Thursday, September 1 to prevent the spread of swine flu.The decision was made after recently confirmed cases of swine flu (K3N2) were discovered at an Ohio county fair and after discussion with the Ohio Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture, state veterinarian and the Canfield Fair's veterinarian.The pigs will be removed following judging and auctions.
