More than 200 students absent after suspected norovirus reported at Humble ISD school quoting : kens5

"You get to hear about whose kids are down, whose kids aren't, whose kids are staying home from school today," Maxwell said. "The City of Houston Health Department and Epidemiology Department has cleared the school kitchen to serve lunch today. It started two days ago when KHOU 11 News reported Wednesday that about 80 students were absent and more were sent home after getting sick. "I think one little kid had a slight fever."Many students stayed home with actual symptoms while others were kept home as a precaution as Humble ISD works on a remedy.

Woodland Hills Elementary (Photo: KHOU 11 News)KINGWOOD, Texas - Seventy eight children were absent on Wednesday and more were sent home from a Humble ISD elementary school after getting sick. As a precaution, Humble ISD custodial services sanitized the school and will conduct another thorough cleaning Wednesday evening. The principal of the Woodland Hills Elementary School, Debi Beard, sent out a letter to parents on Wednesday. Woodland Hills Elementary will open as scheduled on Thursday. In the letter, Beard said the common symptoms were vomiting and diarrhea.
